I hate Uncle Jamie.
That's one of my favorite lines from the movie "Love, Actually". A chick flick that I love. Okay, I admit it. Watched it more times than I can count. Have it on DVD.
I feel better. I've come clean and admitted another guilty pleasure. There are many. We all have them. We're somehow emotionally connected to them, for all sorts of reasons. Something inside us warms up, glows, sparks...I'm not sure what but when we celebrate them, admit them, reveal them...
...it says something about us.
I'm about the size of a truck and look like I could run right through you but now you know there resides in me, somewhere, a soft part that just giggles when that kid says to her family that Uncle Jamie has just gone and ruined Christmas by departing as fast as he arrived. At least, he left the gifts.
Guilty pleasures. We all have them. Even with brands we're 'guilty pleasure' connected. Wonder why? I have some thoughts. More about that next year.
